What is raise shaft construction

Raise shaft construction is between the underground roadway vertical or inclined contact channel, coal bunker, dark shaft and other projects, because it can not be like the surface construction of the wellbore, the arrangement of a large number of equipment such as stable cars, winches, etc., generally to use the raise shaft method. The construction of raiser is to dig a small section slag hole from the bottom to the top, and then brush the large well from the top to the bottom. Water gushing from the rock and formation broken down during the raising and brushing process falls to the lower level through the slag hole. The traditional raise shaft construction method requires personnel to enter the working face to work, while the use of raise boring rig to sink the well realizes the mechanization of raise shaft construction.
