The adaptability of vertical shaft development is strong, and it is generally not limited by natural conditions such as coal seam inclination, thickness, gas, hydrology, etc.; the vertical shaft is short, the lifting speed is fast, the lifting capacity is large, and it is particularly advantageous to be used as a secondary shaft; for the mine with extra-large well type, the large-section wellbore can be used, and two sets of lifting equipment can be equipped; the large section can meet the requirements of large air volume; because the wellbore is short, the ventilation resistance is small, and it is more favorable to the deep well. Therefore, when the topography and geological conditions of the well field are not conducive to the use of flat or inclined well development, vertical well development can be considered. For mines with deep coal seam burial, thick topsoil layer, complex hydrological conditions, special construction methods or mining near-horizontal coal seams and multi-level mining of sharply inclined coal seams, vertical shaft development is generally adopted.
