Continuous coiled tubing fishing cylinder

Continuous tubing fishing drums are used to salvage coiled tubing that has fallen into wells. It has a gripper or anchoring mechanism, the gripper slides along the coiled tubing when working, and engages the tubing when the working string is lifted. When the coiled tubing fishing drum is lowered along the tubing, the gripper reed keeps the gripper in the open position to prevent wear and tear of the gripper teeth. Once the gripper engages the coiled tubing, it pushes down further and bites the string. The fishing drum can be re-engaged to the upper part of the string without being released from the coiled tubing.
